Anthony Moss: Tony is our lead elder/pastor. He is a man whose life has been transformed by God’s power. In 1975, he was a confident young man on a destructive, self-seeking path that eventually led to disillusionment and disappointment. Through a relationship with a young woman (now his wife), he was introduced to God’s amazing love, forgiveness and grace. He soon relinquished control of his own life to the One who created him for a purpose. This began a new journey serving in ministry, learning theology and preaching the Gospel.
Tony has served in the church since 1983; first as Associate Pastor, and then as Lead Elder/Pastor in 1987. At that time he owned and operated a successful floor waxing company. He sold the business to become full time pastor. He holds an A.A. from Brookdale Community College and a Bachelor of Science from Geneva College. He also received a Certificate of Achievement in Urban Ministry Management from the Center for Urban Theological Studies in Philadelphia.
Tony’s vision is to see people fulfill their calling in God, by having an authentic relationship with Him, as well as with their family, friends and community. His personable approach to ministry reflects his desire to encourage believers to take their “next step of faith.” His sermons are filled with practical illustrations to help people apply the truth of the scripture and become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Tony regularly invests his life in other men, working to help them build for the future.
In addition to church ministry, Tony has been active in the Long Branch community, serving in the Little League and Recreation Soccer programs, as a coach and administrator. He and his wife Yvonne have been married over thirty years. They have three adult children.

Les Taylor: Les has been an elder at Long Branch Covenant Church since 1994 and supervisor of Christian Education for 9 years. He has been a Christian for 41 years. Although he knew little of the Word at the time of his salvation, he was keenly aware that God had removed his guilt and sin. God had His hand on Les and did not hesitate to upset his plans and replace them with His. Having just finished his first year of teaching in a great school district in Nebraska, Les was soon to be married when he received the dreaded draft notice. God turned his world upside-down by sending him with his new wife far from home to an army base in New Jersey! There he learned one of the most important lessons of his life: God’s will is good always, even when we are not sure what is going on. It was in New Jersey that Les learned to love the Scripture and became filled with the Spirit. He learned the blessing of living an open and accountable life based in serving the local church. He was ordained an elder in 1978 and has walked with many of the men and women in Long Branch Covenant Church for nearly 35 years! He is still married to his wife of nearly 40 years, Anita. They have three grown children and one granddaughter. Les also serves the church as high school teacher and leads one of the fellowship groups. He considers it a privilege to walk with the church members through the trials and blessings of life and help them to see that God’s will is good always.
Les and his family have lived in Red Bank for 33 years. In addition to church ministry, he has worked as an engineer at Fort Monmouth since 2007 and was a teacher and administrator at DeVry University for 25 years prior to that. He is recently retired from 20 years of serving as a member of the Red Bank Regional Board of Education, for 6 of those years he served as president and for 5 as the Negotiations Committee Chair. He coached 17 seasons of soccer and baseball for Red bank Parks and Recreation. Les is a veteran of the United States Army, graduated from the University of Nebraska, received a Master of Science in Education from Rutgers University and a Master of Science in Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
