Fellowship Groups

“And they were continually devoting themselves to the
apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
Acts 2:42

From the earliest days of the church, this description provides us with an excellent model for church life.  Fellowship is an essential element of Biblical church.  Throughout the New Testament, Christians are exhorted to love one another, to encourage one another, to care for one another, and to keep one another accountable to God’s standard for living.  To obey God in this, we must be together in fellowship.

LBCC currently has four fellowship groups.  The elders believe with smaller groups we can more effectively accomplish what the New Testament calls us to do together.  We can more comfortably gather in people’s homes and afford a more personal interaction at our group meetings.  Our fellowship group meetings may include discussion, prayer, worship, Bible study, or may be purely social.  They most certainly include food!  In fellowship groups we have the opportunity to form friendships and serve one another both physically and spiritually.  We hope they are the “mortar” connecting the “living stones” of God’s church at LBCC.

We currently have four fellowship groups active, listed below by leader:

  • Tony Moss (Long Branch area)
  • Tony DiMauro (Tinton Falls area)
  • Les Taylor (Red Bank Area)
  • Tom Yaccarino (Ocean area)
